Getting Involved

If you want to get involved, please post an inquiry at the OpenMx developers' section of the OpenSEM forum. If you are interested in building OpenMx from source, take a look at the OpenMx Compilation How-To Guide. We also have a some discussion about how we use GIT. The project is licensed under the Apache License, Version 2.0.

Example projects for new developers

  • make mxOptions - “Number of Threads” - case-insensitive
  • For all gradient descent optimizers, add NPSOL's switching between forward- and central-differences (see emails to the mailing list around 23 Sep 2016)

OpenMx is licensed under the open source Apache License, Version 2.0.

Donations

Tax-free donations to OpenMx Support are now possible. Please go to www.support.vcu.edu, click on the Give Today box, enter an amount, and click SEARCH. Type OpenMx and hit NEXT to finalize your contribution. If you wish to bequest a donation, the following language may be used: "I give, devise and bequeath to the Medical College of Virginia Foundation, a not-for-profit corporation located in Richmond, Virginia,  (‘MCV Foundation’) the sum of $_______ [or _____% of my residuary estate] to be used for OpenMx Support"
