95% CIs for Univariate models.
Hi all,
I am relatively new to the OpenMx environment and was looking for feedback on a problem. Specifically, I am working with a series of univariate ACE models for ordinal variables in OpenMx using code from here.

confidence intervals with mxTryHardOrdinal optimizer
Hi,
I would like to compute confidence intervals for the ACE components in a univariate twins analysis.
Since I have categorical covariates in the model, the only way I could make the model work was by replacing the mxRun optimizer with mxTryHardOrdinal optimizer. However, according to the R documentation of the mxCI function, the mxCI could not run with other optimizers except for mxRun. Similarly, even though I ask for "intervals=TRUE" in the model, the lbound and ubound of the summary output are NAs.

how to choose between ACE, AE, CE, and E when only E is significantly worse than ACE?
Hello,
I have a relatively large dataset (500 same sex twin pairs) where the raw correlations of the observed phenotypes between MZs and DZs show shared environment effects (e.g., MZ-.39 vs. DZ-.29). Moreover, if I enter only these correlations into a script in the old Mx program, I get significant shared environment effects.

NAs in definition variables
Does OpenMx support NAs in definition variables?
Here's a [test file](http://openmx.ssri.psu.edu/sites/default/files/NA%20def%20test.R), which allows you to create data in a twin model with covariates on the means, either including, or excluding rows that are NA on the definition variable.
With NAs in the def vars, it runs (under OpenMx version number: 2.7.12.47), but the results appear to be the start values.
[Question 3](https://ibg.colorado.edu/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=workshop:2016:questions) in the IBG forums is relevant to this also.

Pritikin, Rappaport & Neale (2017). Liklihood-based confidence intervals for a parameter with an upper or lower bound
I read the article in Structural Equation Modeling Journal. I would like to try to replicate your findings. Would it be possible to obtain a copy of your script?

Carrying out latent profile analysis (LPA) by adapting code examples for a two-factor model and growth mixture models
Hi everyone. I'm new to both OpenMX and mixture models and am trying to do a latent profile analysis, or a mixture model (initially with two classes) of a Two-factor Model.
With the good documentation and code examples for Two-factor Models and mixture models (specifically the code for a growth mixture model), I tried to combine the two. However, when I run it, I get the following error that I'm having trouble debugging:
Error: The reference 'Class1.fitfunction' is unknown in the algebra named 'Latent Profile Model.mixtureObj'

Univariate ACE models for males and females separately (Heterogenous model)
Dear openMX users and forum administrators,

centering variables in a univariate ACE model?
Hi all,
I would like to perform a simple univariate ACE model with three covariates (one continuous and two binary).
Is there a need to center any of the variables before approaching the analysis? there are no interaction effects in the model so my hunch is that I don't need to do it, but I would still like to ask to be sure...
Thank you!
