Importance of a path v/s factor

Hello!

I have a very general question that I would like to seek some help with. I know that the direct\indirect impacts for each variable in the model can be computed using a multiplication rule. However, this gives us the importance of the variable and not the path. How can I understand the importance of the path, should I simply add the co-efficients?

I would really appreciate a quick revert!

Thanks,
Vaibhav

Judging by the long lag in response time and speaking for others, I don't think we quite understand what you mean. Could you elaborate on what you mean by the "importance of the path".

If you mean how much the fit of the model changes in response to changes of the path coefficient, then that is addressed by profile likelihood confidence intervals. See the help page for mxCI.
